Mount Shasta: A Visual Story

Recently, my girlfriend and I travelled up to Northern California for several days in Mount Shasta. During that time, my phone was kept in airplane mode. 10/10, would do again.

Having recorded so much of the trip, I wanted to share the journey beyond just yet another photo album.

Here Is That Story

If you're flying to Mount Shasta, there's a couple airports to choose from, both of which are over an hour drive away. This was the view along a stretch of highway on our way from Medford, Oregon. #nofilter #nature #clouds

With our bags unpacked, our wonderful hosts whisked us on a trail on their property, which has been well maintained for 20+ years. Complete with a running creek, random tree faces, and a Sasquatch sighting. #nature #tree #funny

With a home smack dab in the #forest, the back deck is a heavily trafficked area. Here was a squirrel getting into the stash of peanuts. #nature #animals

That Monday was a perfect day to drive up to Mount Shasta. Just one of a few scenic lookout spots on the ascent. #nature #mountains

Thinking the scenery around Mount Shasta couldn't be topped, I quickly learned how shortsighted that was. #nature #clouds #lake

Monday, 5:36 PM. The trip was coming to an end, but the experiences? They were not bound by time.

Roaming around the movie cliché small town after our final meal, this sign stood tall above the rest. Ultimately, it defined my experience with the wild wonderland that is Mount Shasta, California.
